Bowmont Wholesale Meats

Bowmont Meats switches from lpg to wood chips for hot water.
Description of facility:

The Bowmont Meats works needs hot water at 84C for a twice daily wash down of the meat processing area. This hot water was being supplied by a 44kw LPG fired cylinder with 275 litres of storage.
Increases in the volumes of hot water being used meant that the old system had become too small. This short fall in capacity along with the cost of LPG initiated the investigation of an alternative hot water system.
The solution proposed by Fogarty Industries was a New Zealand built wood chip boiler with hot water storage cylinder.
