Knox College

Knox College provides student accomodation and the wood fuelled boiler provides central heating.
Description of facility:

Knox College had for years been heated by a sectional coal boiler. Faced with an expiring resource consent to emit discharges to air from the coal boiler, Knox College started to look for replacement options. Spark Energy was appointed to supply and install a new automated 540 kW KB Pyrot chip boiler and supply fuel-grade wood chips under a long-term supply agreement.
